SEG Automotive Spain (factory of Treto) has been dedicated throughout its history to the production of components for the automotive industry, becoming a worldwide reference for the effectiveness of its processes and the quality of its production.
For 40 years it was part of the Bosch Group within its division of generators and starter motors.
On January 2018 the Chinese ZMJ Group acquired this division from Bosch and founded the company SEG Automotive. ZMJ is listed on the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
The factory of Treto maintain a privileged position within the SEG Group as a leading plant for the manufacture of generators, producing 4 million generators per year. Treto is located in a unique natural environment and occupies an area of 265,500 m2.
Caring for the environment is another priority for SEG Automotive Spain, both because of the environment in which our plant is located and because of the efficiency of our products. These have evolved from an efficiency of 72% to the current 85%.

Modular products for global vehicle platforms
Our broad product portfolio covers the diverse worldwide requirements of our customers – from entry-level segment to premium solutions, for passenger cars as well as for very different application scenarios in the commercial vehicle sector. Our products are characterized not only by their robustness, reliability, and flexibility, but also make a significant contribution to improving the vehicles’ fuel efficiency and CO2 footprint.
Mild hybrid:
Our Boost Recuperation Machine (BRM) transforms any conventional internal combustion engine into an efficient mild hybrid with minimal effort.
Simply ‘swapping’ in the BRM on the belt drive (P0) already brings up to 15% CO2 savings. These can be boosted even further with our Electric Machine (EM) 48V Platform. It can be flexibly integrated into any powertrain, for example on or in the transmission as well as on the rear axle, and power additional driving features and a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 25%.
We also offer a dedicated series of 48V e-machines for two- and three-wheeled light vehicles, which enable them to drive completely emission-free and significantly reduce urban pollution.

High Voltage E-machines
Our scalable e-motor concepts enable rapid adaptation of high-voltage e-machines to various customer applications – from light-weight motors for auxiliary units such as air-conditioning compressors to high-powered engines and components for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
48V E-machines
Plug&play solution for higher efficiency: Our 48V E-machines save up to 25% CO2 by hybridizing conventional powertrains and can enable full electrification of light vehicles.
Our Boost Recuperation Machine (BRM) transforms any conventional internal combustion engine into an efficient mild hybrid with minimal effort: by replacing the 12V generator with the 48V BRM, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced significantly.
The EU has officially recognized the BRM as an eco-innovation, which enables manufacturers to receive additional CO2 credit and further reduce their fleet consumption.
