We are a family business founded in 1988. In partnership with our customers, we develop and manufacture rubber and rubber-metal/plastic parts for automotive industry focused on antivibration products.
We are located in Berriatua – Basque Country (Spain). 45min far from Bilbao and San Sebastian. Most of our suppliers and Key Partners are located in a radius of less than 50Km

Kautenik designs, develops and manufactures rubber to metal parts for the automotive industry, mainly dedicated to antivibration products.
Although it is mainly focused on rubber injection, it counts with different complementary technologies in order to offer finished products and best services to its customers. Automated parts inspection, calibration, assembly operations, buterolage and Rolling systems are some of Kautenik´s main in-house operations.
Kautenik is surrounded by key partners and suppliers who cover the whole supply chain. In collaboration with Leartiker research center, Kautenik has a powerful research and development team, who is able to carry out simulations to predict the mechanical properties and behaviour of parts in different scenarios. It is also capable of developing different rubber compounds, so that it can be adapted to each project and each client.
Additionally, Kautenik takes part in different Research and development projects, in order to keep innovating in a more and more competitive environment, investing a great part of its benefits in this field.
Automatization of the process is another key area for the company, as this enables to offer best quality at best price.
Kautenik has a wide range of products catalogue, aimed specially at the antivibration industry. It combines rubber with other type of materials (aluminium, metal, Polyamide….) to produce high performance products with lightweight materials if possible.
Kautenik´s products are usually assembled in shock absorbers, leaf springs, control arms or locking systems.
Nowadays, the product catalogue of Kautenik can be divided into 5 product families:

Its most prominent clients are Tier 1 manufacturers from the automotive industry, such as Tenneco, Kayaba, Hitachi, Marelli, Maysan Mando, BWI, Olgun Celik, Huf, Gedia or Gestamp. Nowadays Kautenik supplies its products to almost all the shock absorber manufacturers in the world, being a referenct company in this field.
Additionally, Kautenik also works directly as a Tier 1 for OEM-vehicle manufacturers such as Daimler, and wants to work in this direction during up-coming years.
Kautenik is headquartered in Berriatua (Bizkaia) and has different sales offices throughout Europe (France, Germany and Poland). Nowadays it exports 70% of its production abroad.
Apart from Europe, it has clients in America (North America, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina), South Africa, India and China. During next 3 years Kautenik expects to grow its exports, reaching a share of 80-85%.
