Bilbao, July, 10th, 2023 – ACICAE-Automotive Cluster of the Basque Country has awarded the 17th edition of the AUTOMOCION-ACICAE 2023 Awards to individuals and organizations that have stood out for their work in favor of the competitiveness of the automotive sector.
These awards are a recognition of the work carried out by different agents in one of the most demanding industrial sectors in the world.
The categories foreseen are: vehicle manufacturer or first level supplier, company located in the Basque Country, individual, and media. Thus, in this edition, the winners were:
• Vehicle manufacturer: IVECO
For its multi-technological commitment to respond to the need to decarbonize the commercial, goods and passenger transport sector, with a wide range of products, including battery electric vehicles and hydrogen cell electric vehicles, as well as vehicles with combustion engines powered by fuels with low and zero carbon content and from renewable sources.
• Company located in the Basque Country: MEGATECH
For its capacity for innovation for more than 130 years, and for its firm commitment to the Basque Country as a place for the development of knowledge and manufacturing.
• Person: Javier Borda, President of Sisteplant
For his commitment to the Basque automotive sector, which has manifested itself in a long business career, with the development of the Sisteplant project, becoming an example for the entire service industry.
• Media: EFE Agency
For its trajectory as a news agency and its concern for industrial issues, especially in the automotive sector.
The award ceremony took place last Thursday, July 6th, at an official dinner attended by more than 160 representatives of the automotive sector and other related agents.
