Benchmark – Private Visits

Our partner AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center, in collaboration with ACICAE-Basque Automotive Cluster, we would like to invite you to a new BENCHMARK DAY – PRIVATE VISITS, aimed at analysing vehicle design and manufacturing strategies.

We will focus on comparing the electrification strategy of Chinese OEMs against European and American manufacturers and we will have the opportunity to see the BYD SEALvehicle, a high-end sports car with the price of a conventional saloon, designed and manufactured by one of the main Chinese OEMs.

In this context, AIC’s technical team has been working on the disassembly and analysis of this vehicle and during the day we will focus specifically on the disassembly of the E-Powertrain (Motor, Inverter, Gearbox, VCU, PDU, OBC,…), High Voltage Battery System, Front and Rear Axles, as well as visualizing Interior Elements.

In addition to being able to physically see the parts, the day will include a presentation from the Competitive Intelligence Unit of AIC where, among others, the following points will be addressed:

• Market overview with a focus on electrification.
• Comparison of Tesla Model Y, VW ID.4 Crozz, BMW iX and BYD SEAL vehicles, including:
  • Front and rear axles
  • E-Powertrain
  • Battery system (structural technologies, cooling, cells, etc.)
• Conclusions of the dynamic tests carried out with the BYD SEAL

The private session to analyze in depth the BYD’s exploded view includes:

• Detailed presentation of the BYD Seal
• BYD Exploded view of the BYD in a virtual environment, focusing on the 8-1 concept of the rear axle Power-Pack and battery system
• Unlimited access to the exhibition for 4 hours.
